Dan is an experienced senior executive with global business experience in Fortune 50 Companies who also thrives in the turbulent environment of start-up and turn-around businesses. He has led profitable growth as an executive in established organizations, such as Kimberly-Clark and Procter & Gamble, and was COO of EcoCom, a biomass-to-energy start-up company. He recently led the successful U.S. business expansion of a Canadian Consumer Products company as President of K.T.G. (USA) Inc. Dan currently wears several hats: he heads CNZ Solutions, a business consulting practice, is actively with several early-stage-startup-companies and is President of United Converting U.S.A. Inc. He is also on the Board of Directors of Precision Paper Converters.
In addition to general business management, Dan has led the engineering, development and successful commercial deployment of new products, processes and equipment in the personal care products, paper, tissue products, agricultural, renewable energy and process industries. Over the course of his career he has successfully commercialized new products in over 30 countries and led or guided over USD 2 billion in capital projects in France, Italy, Mexico, Australia and the U.S.
Dan holds 13 U.S. and numerous foreign patents. He is conversational in French and German and spent six years working and living in Europe. He holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois, completed the Advanced Executive Program at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business and was an elected member of his local School Board for 10 years. He is currently on the Boards of the Paper Discovery Center and the Forum for Innovation (FINN).
