“Having recently decided to leave the corporate world and return to college full time to get my Masters in Sustainable Peacebuilding degree at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, I was faced with needing to find affordable health insurance with quality coverage. Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative offered this in addition to their very uncommon mission to put people before profit, providing education, advocacy, and transparency for all its members. Having previously worked for for-profit health insurance organizations and understanding the challenges faced when needing to strike a balance between quality and cost, I was happy to find such an innovative health insurance organization as Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative. Member-driven health insurance needs to be maintained so that quality healthcare can be accessible to those who need it.
In addition to attending graduate school, I freelance consult with organizations and serve on the Peace Learning Center of Milwaukee board that educates school children on non-violent communication. I am excited to be a Board Member with Common Ground Healthcare and look forward to serving my fellow healthcare cooperative members.”
